Problem Statement
In Arizona, foster teens face significant and often overlooked challenges as they navigate the critical transition from adolescence to adulthood.
Many enter the system due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment and are met with instability, limited resources, and a lack of consistent emotional support.
As they approach aging out of the system, too many teens are left unprepared for independent living, resulting in higher risks of homelessness, unemployment, mental health struggles, and incarceration.
Without targeted, teen-specific support and guidance, these youth are denied not only stability—but also the opportunity to discover their potential and build a future rooted in confidence and self-worth.
Foster University is focused on leveraging a community of change makers willing to roll up their sleeves and serve. We believe that anyone can be an amazing ambassador of support and joy to a foster teen, and we accept volunteers of all ages!
Whether its gently used or new items, a financial donation or giving your time, we are building a community of compassion for foster teens.
